REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

LEGAL BASIS

Various laws have provisions regarding the use of our clients’ personal data. First of all, Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) defines the principles of personal data protection. Besides, Law No. 6563 on the regulation of electronic commerce includes provisions on the protection of personal data. In some cases, there are criminal sanctions for the violation of protection of personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Criminal Code No. 5237.
On the other hand, the data must be collected and used to fulfil our obligations under the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Regulation on Distance Contracts.

DATA CATEGORIES

Mehtaj.co.uk will be able to keep, store, update, disclose to third parties, transfer, classify and process your personal information to the extent permitted by law:

1. Authority
   First name, last name, date of birth, sex, passport number. It contains information about the identification number.
2. Contact Information
   It contains an email address, billing and delivery address, and mobile phone number information.
3. Legal Information about the Transaction
   In case of a dispute, the information filed consists of information about warnings, correspondence with judicial and administrative authorities.
4. Information about the Client’s Transaction
   It contains invoice information, request information, order information, customer comments (if any), etc.
5. Transaction Security Information
   It contains information about the IP address, information about entering and exiting the website, information about the user name, password information, traffic data (connection time/duration, etc.).
6. Payment Information
   Encrypted credit card information consists of bank account information/ IBAN number.

7. To make purchases more convenient for our customers, to provide our customers with information about our products that may be of interest to them, “taking into account the interests of our customers”, and to share information about the ongoing promotions.
8. To increase customer satisfaction, to get to know our customers who make purchases on the website and/or in mobile applications, and use the information obtained when analysing the
   customer environment, use it in various marketing and advertising activities, and organise surveys in an electronic or physical environment through contracting organisations.
9. To offer our customers offers from our business partners in order to inform them about the services available.
10. To evaluate customer complaints and suggestions regarding our services.
11. To fulfil our legal obligations and exercise our rights under applicable law.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA AND EXCHANGE OF PERSONAL DATA

1. The personal data obtained by Mehtaj.co.uk is under the supervision and control of Mehtaj LTD. Mehtaj.co.uk, as the data controller, has assumed responsibility for establishing the necessary organization, as well as for taking and adapting technical measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the information in accordance with the provisions of current legislation. Taking into account our obligations in this regard, our site is subject to periodic maintenance and updating studies based on the international and national technical standards regarding data privacy.
2. The transfer of our clients’ personal data to any third parties takes place within the framework of the clients’ consent, and, as a rule, personal data is not transferred to third parties without the consent of our clients.
3. However, personal data is transferred to the courts and other government agencies in connection with our legal obligations and is limited to them. 2. to request information if your personal data has been processed;

3. to enquire the purpose of your data processing and the way it is handled; d) to know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred;

4. to request correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrect; f) to request the deletion or destruction of your personal data pursuant to the conditions provided for by the KVKK regulations;

5. to request to notify third parties dealing with your personal data about the correction of incomplete or incorrect data as well as about your personal data deletion or destruction; h) to object to show personal information when analyzing the processed data exclusively with the help of automated systems; and

6. to claim a compensation if you have had any damage due to an illegal personal data processing.
